One month of dance fun!


Anyone else sick n tired of lockdowns, quarantines, and all round the fun being sucked out of life these days :p ?

I was fortune enough to be able to teach two sold out trainings last year, in Bali and Amsterdam - but this year I've not been that lucky. The sold out Bali 2021 training had to be postponed, and while I am tentatively planning the next in person training, many people won't be able to travel internationally as freely as before....

Enter..... the Serpentine Livestream!

As a way to approximate the experience of an in person dance intensive I came up with a way to have community and consistency - two fundamental backbones of creating (or reigniting!) the needed momentum for your dance practice - from your living room!


The whole month of November, Serpentine Studies will be live-streaming a LIVE (in person) training

where I am teaching an intimate group of 4 students. This small group size makes for a perfect livestream as there won't be too much clutter on-screen, yet I will be giving actual feedback and corrections to common mistakes, aka perfect for an online class setting!


In typical Imaya fashion, most of the training will be made up on the go.
Aside from the standard things I teach during my live trainings on how to deepen your practice and accelerate your dance craft, I will teach the things that I am personally most obsessed about at the moment in my own dance and training.
This means you can expect the expected as well as the completely unexpected.

If you prefer your classes to be thought out ahead of time, this training may not be for you!
My trainings are part structured and part unstructured; improv is my zone of genius afterall....


I look forward to 'coming together' in this time, in this way, and collectively honor our art & stoke our passion for dance!

The Serpentine Livestream is €111 - which means less than €3 per hour of of drilling and dancing!


 














Le Program...


The livestream will be 2 hours a day, 5 days a week
(that's approximately 40 hours of dance dance dance baby)


Class will be on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday

(every Wednesday + Saturday will be non training days)


There is no set schedule, but class times will be announced the day before
(most classes will be either 10-12 am or 3-5pm CEST)

  • 1 day for choreography creation and drilling (yes, you get to see the process of putting together a choreography too!)
  • 4 days of 1 part drilling (Serpentine Routine style) +
    1 part 'studies' (studies are like masterclasses for dance where we zoom in on one area)

    (this is probably the most requested element to my teaching, and I'm finally inspired to go there!)

When does the course start and finish?
The livestream starts November 1st and ends November 30.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to the replays for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own. This means you don't have to be present during the lives if you can't make it!
Where will the course take place?
Via a private FB group where all videos will be recorded live as we go (the videos will be live-streamed and not recorded on a camera), and will remain available to you afterwards. This also makes for a fun and interactive community setting!
What is the program and schedule?
There will be no set schedule, but class time will be announced one day in advance. Most classes will happen either 10-12am or 3-5pm (CEST).
Is the course suitable for beginners?
Yes the course is suitable for beginners and intermediate level dancers with options given to accommodate both. If you have 0 experience whatsoever, it is recommended that you start now with the 'complete beginners course' in Serpentine Studies. The fundamentals will be drilled, not explained!
When's the last day to sign up?
November 1st!
